Name:
Vintage Hamilton Chronograph with calibre 11 movement

Short Description:
Early automatic Chronograph by Hamilton, using the same micro rotor calibre 11 movement found in Heuer and Breitling watches.

Long Description:

This vintage Hamilton Chrono-Matic chronograph uses the famed caliber 11 movement found in many Breitling and Heuer watches from the period of the late 1960's and early 1970's. This particular model roughly dates to 1970.

The movement is instantly identifiable by the presence of the date at six and crown on the left side of the case. You will notice this movement used in other hyper collectible watches like the Heuer Monaco, Heuer Carrera, Breitling Navitimer and others.

As a brief recap, the caliber 11 movement was developed by Hamilton, Breitling and Buren prior to the famous Zenith El Primero movement however
Zenith-Movado introduced the first automatic chronograph
watch on the market mere months before Hamilton could.

This watch features a stunning dark robin's egg blue dial with white markers and chronograph hands.
The outer tachymeter chapter ring is silver with the date at six. The dial is in near mint condition.

The all stainless steel case is fully signed and features a heavy steel screw back which is marked with the model number 11002-3. Please note the original Hamilton signed crown.

The watch was just serviced by my watchmaker and functions flawlessly.

The case measures a very wearable 36 mm wide by an impressive 14.5 mm thick and 41 mm long. This rare vintage automatic chronograph can be supplied on a black or brown leather strap..
