Vintage Breitling One Button Chronograph

Stunning Breitling black dial vintage chronograph. Circa 1930 single button Chronograph.

Long Description:

The obvious center piece of this wonderful watch is the stunning all original black chronograph dial with its concentric telemetre scales. The dial appears to be enamel or porcelain.

The case is large by todays standards and positively gigantic when compared with other vintage watches. The case is made out of a base metal and then nickel chrome plated, which it quite common for watches of this era.

The 17jewel Breitling signed movement was just serviced by my watchmaker and it is keeping excellent time. All of the chronograph functions perform flawlessly.

The case back has the reference 251 stamped on the back. The inside of the caseback is engraved with a newer Breitling logo and that appears to have been added by a recent owner who was unaware that the older vintage Breitlings often did not use signed cases and this watch appears 100% correct otherwise.

The watch measures 37mm wide by 43.5mm long and  is supplied on a vintage black leather fold over strap.
