Long Description:

This vintage Rolex Oyster Commander is another example of a Canadian Market Rolex Oyster!

This model used the Rolex contract caliber 59 movement, which was signed
Rolex under the dial. The Stainless steel case is correctly signed Oyster
Watch Company RWC, with the case reference # 3136. The case is in
good condition with sharp edges and case back knurling with only
some surface pitting on the back of the case middle.

The dial has been expertly refinished in the classic Roman Arabic pattern
popular in the 1940's with the sub seconds chapter now sought after by collectors. 

The movement was just serviced and is keeping excellent time. The original
Oyster Patent crown screws down tightly to the case tube.

The serial number dates this watch to 1937 and is a nice pre war
model. Many of these watches were later given as gifts for soldiers going
overseas for World War 2.

The watch is the larger of the boy sized Canadian Oysters and measures 31 mm
wide by 39 mm long. The watch will be supplied on a brand new black padded
leather strap.
