Vintage Tudor model, made for Canadian department store Eatons, the Solar Prima Aqua.

Long Description:

This vintage Tudor model was made specifically for the Canadian department store Eaton’s.

The Eaton’s store brand was Solar and even though they used a few other manufacturers for their watches, the Rolex/Tudor Oyster case is an obvious clue as to the origin of this watch. Most Tudor/Rolex models were branded Solar Aqua's.

The movement fitted in the case is the Tudor calibre 1260 movement based on an ETA movement modified by Rolex. This one is rare in that it is actually signed Solar. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping great time.

The all original dial with its delicate script and arrowhead markers has a light patina on it. The patina appears to be from storage as the watch appears unworn.

The case reference 7913, is a mid sized Oyster case and appears to date to the 1960's.  The watch measures 32 mm wide by 39 mm long. The watch is supplied on either your choice of a black or brown leather strap.    

The watch also comes with the original Solar watch box it was delivered in.
