Vintage Rolex Oyster watch with Roman Arabic dial. Uses the Swiss 10 1/2 hunter manual wind movement by Rolex in the 1940's. Gold plated bezel.
Long Description:
This Rolex Oyster Commander comes in a Swiss made Oyster case that has a rare gold plated bezel.
The watch is fitted with a Swiss made Rolex 10.5 ligne Hunter movement with a Rolex signed winding wheel. These movements were used by Rolex in the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's.This watch has had the dial redone in the popular Roman Arabic "California" pattern and it is a stunning restoration with expertly toned luminous and the popular sub-seconds register.
One of the more unusual features of this watch is the gold plated bezel, a rarer model among Oyster cased watches. Please note the highly sought after original vintage Rolex Oyster patent crown.
The watch was just serviced by my Rolex trained watchmaker.
The all steel case measures 29 mm wide by 36 mm long and is supplied on a black leather strap
