Long Description:
The Rolex Submariner 5512 is a rarer model than the garden variety no date Sub you are likely to encounter. The reference 5512 means it is fitted with a Chronometer rated Rolex Perpetual automatic movement. These were significantly more expensive that the non-chronometer 5513's so were sold in significantly fewer numbers.

This watch dates to 1972 based on the serial number This model has a correct 5512 caseback.

The original matte black dial has the original and evenly aged luminous on the hour markers and hands.

The Rolex calibre 1570 movement is in pristine condition and has been reviewed and serviced. This movement is one of the early hacking seconds movements.

The watch is in excellent condition with only minor swirl marks in the case and a ding on the non crown side of the case. The ding is not easily seen and does not affect the water resistance of the case. There is no corrosion on the case as can be commonplace with other watches of this age.
