Vintage Rolex GMT ref 16753 steel and gold watch, Rolex serviced
A transitional model Rolex GMT pilots watch.
This watch dates to 1979 based on the serial number in the 6.2 million range. This explains the use of the newer fast beat Rolex 3075 movement with a case that uses the vintage Acrylic crystals.
The watch was serviced at Rolex recently and at that time received a new factory dial and hands. The cost of that service was just under $800. The previous owner also elected to buy a genuine Rolex strap and Rolex buckle at a cost of just under $300.
All the receipts for the work listed above comes with the watch.
The watch runs perfectly and keeps great time.
One of the more wearable of Rolex tool watches given its thinner profile as it was only water proof to 330 feet.
