Rolex Oysterquartz ref 17013

A very clean, almost like new Rolex Oysterquartz 17013 two tone watch with white dial with yellow gold Romans. Factory serviced and still under warranty till December 2014.

Rolex Oysterquartz Datejust with reference 17013. This is a 2 tone Rolex Oyster with a Quartz movement. Many will find that a strange combination as Rolex has become so well known for its automatic perpetual movements. The truth is Rolex was one of the first to help build a Swiss Quartz watch when they collaborated on the development of the Beta 21 movement. The movement was used by Rolex and Patek Philippe.
This Rolex Oysterquartz movement is as rugged and is a chronometer rated model adjusted to temperature. As there is no swinging balance wheel there is no need to adjust the movement for position, as with any Rolex mechanical movement. The Rolex calibre 5035 quartz movement was produced for 25 years in limited numbers. Click on this link to read about the history of the Rolex Oysterquartz.
The model carries a reference 17013 and features a solid angular steel case with 18 karat gold fluted bezel surrounding the sapphire crystal. The heavy steel and gold bezel is integrated into the case.
The dial on the watch features gold Roman numerals fixed to a white painted background. Gold stick hour minute and second hands rotate around the dial.
The case measures 36 mm wide x 42 mm long. The bracelet measures long enough to fit a 7.5 inch wrist and comes with 12 links. The watch was serviced at a Rolex factory service centre and comes with a factory warranty through to December 2104. The service work order and warranty card are supplied with the watch. The serial number of the watch has been obscured in the photos.
