This Girard Perregaux Sea Hawk II is a pre-owned model that is in excellent condition.
The SEA HAWK II was the first watch to feature a movement based on GP´s own thin automatic calibre 3300, the GP caliber 33RO.
The white dial features a power reserve indicator at the 6 o’clock position and a date window unusually situated at the 2 o’clock spot.
As silly as the power reserve feature seems, it not only looks cool, but is a useful complication for divers, as it prevents the watch from accidentally running down when used under-water.
The heavy stainless steel case comes with a uni-directional notched bezel, and sapphire crystal. The watch was originally rated for water resistance to 1000 feet.
The steel case measures a substantial 42 mm wide and is fitted with the original GP bracelet. The watch comes with original box and papers.
