A rare Benrus Sky Chief triple date, 3 register chronograph.
The Sky Chief was made famous by Air Force pilots who valued the large face of the watch and the overall accuracy and durability of the piece.
This impressive watch is a highly complicated timepiece and exudes vintage charm. The original dial has a warm even vintage patina
If left unworn and the watch winds down, the date functions can be adjusted by the sheltered pushers on the left side of the case. Please not ethat the case appears unpolished with the sharp edges and angle camber on the outside of the lugs. Yes this means there may be light character marks on the case but its very rare to find a watch this age in this amazing condition.
The Benrus caliber VZ4 which is used in this watch is based on the Valjoux caliber 72C and was just serviced by my watchmaker in is functioning flawlessly. The legendary Valjoux caliber 72C movement was the same movement used in the Rolex model 6036.
The case measures 36 mm wide by 43 mm long and is supplied on a brown leather strap.
Its actually amazing the value contained in this watch. After having and selling all three of these I have owned over the years, it is fairly obvious there is a notably demand for these watches. If you are selling a Benrus Sky Chief, please drop me a line and I can hopefully make an offer to buy your vintage Benrus Sky Chief.
