This vintage Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute, is the rarer jumbo example with the automatic movement. It carries the reference number 1809.
The watch is fitted with the Buren based, 17 jewel, micro rotor movement, calibre 14. The more often seen example has the manual wind Venus calibre 178 movement fitted.
The dial is as spectacular an example as I have seen before. The text is a combination of silver and white script with white detailed markings. The hands are the the larger orange coloured models, filled with tritium luminous.
The case features a black metal turning bezel, heavy stainless steel screw-down case back and large signed Breitling crown.
The case measures 48 mm wide and is supplied on a new Hirsch Liberty sports strap.
