This vintage Bulova watch illustrates why so many people have become attracted to the many charms of wearing a vintage watch. The watch appears to date to the later part of the 1930’s.
The case is a larger than normal rectangular gold filled model, with sloping edges. The surfaces surrounding the slightly domed and curved acrylic crystal are unusually wide and add a beefier look to the watch.
The dial is the true centrepoint of the watch. The mint black and gray 2 tone dial is 100% original and features a very art-deco appearance. Another appealing addition is the inset sub-seconds dial that intersects the bottom of the black hour track.
The movement is the high grade 17 jewel Bulova calibre 7AP. This barrel shaped movement is also adjusted to compensate for positional error. The watch was just serviced and is keeping great time.
The case has some wear to the gold capping on the high pointed areas by the bracelet which is typical, this is however minor and not noticeable when the watch is being worn. The watch is supplied on the original Breisler gold filled mesh bracelet which completes the vintage appearance of this stunning watch.
The case measures 21 mm wide by 37 mm long.
