Its always more like an honour to sell a vintage Patek on my website. The advertising line that you only take care of a Patek for the next generation is quite true. This Patek dates to the 1970’s or early 1980’s.
This elegantly simple model, reference 3468, with its 18 karat gold case and original white satin finished dial, are the essence of what a dress watch should be and its a Patek Philippe watch to boot.
The case is fully signed and hallmarked. The condition of the case is exceptional. The watch is also supplied on a genuine crocodile strap with the original Patek Philippe buckle.
The 18 jewel manual wind movement, calibre 23-300, was just serviced by my watchmaker and it is keeping excellent time and performs flawlessly. Newcomers to watch collecting please note that these Pateks movements are not only adjust for positions (as are most other high end watches) but are also adjusted to Isochronism (the property of having the same period of oscillation regardless of amplitude) and Temperatures.
The all original dial is in splendid condition with some very minor patina visible in the large photo of the watch as well as one minor mark on the dial by the hand post hole. Overall this is a difficult watch to overlook if you are in the market for an elegant dress watch in the upper end of the market place.
The watch measures 33mm wide by 39 mm long and as stated earlier, it is supplied on a genuine black crocodile strap with the original Patek Philippe buckle.
