Vintage Omega Seamaster 300, 1st model 2913 lollipop hand

Rare early Seamaster 300. Fitted with original lollipop second hand. Dates to the 1950’s and was produced along side first generation Speedmaster and Railmaster.

This early Omega Seamaster 300 dive watch is what started the legend of the Seamaster divers watches.
The model reference 2913 was introduced in 1957 and was marketed as one of three tool watches. The trio included the Speedmaster and Railmaster models.
This historic piece includes the original lollipop seconds hand which is missing the luminous compound from within. The watch was originally shipped with a thin plastic insert layered into the rotating bezel, this almost always falls out over time as it dries and flakes off. This model has been restored and the insert redone.
The Omega calibre 501 movement was recently serviced and is keeping excellent time. The original NAIAD compression, non screw down crown is still fitted to the watch watch.
The dial and dauphine hands are all original and are in great original condition. Note the arrowhead shaped minute hand still fitted to the watch.
Overall this is a superb example of a very desirable watch. I see some with the original bezel floating around for about $6,000, therefore this is reasonably priced.
