Vintage Rolex Eatons Quarter Century watch, solid 14K gold case

Used Rolex vintage presentation watch, excellent condition solid gold model from the Eaton Quarter Century club. These watches were one of the few Rolex’s produced without the Rolex name of the dial as a private brand.

The Eaton departments store in Canada was a legendary retailer for over most of the 20th Century but eventually went into bankruptcy. One of the lasting legacys of their history is the Quarter Century Club watches made by Rolex for their long service awards.
The watches are rare in the fact that it is perhaps the only a few instances were Rolex allowed their watches to be rebranded with another companies name and certainly the only one I know of in the post war era. This case is a solid 14 karat gold Oyster, reference 6422, case engraved on the back with the delightful rolling script associated with the Eatons presentations. The Rolex manual wind calibre 1210 was just serviced by my Rolex trained watchmaker and is keeping excellent time. The restored dial is in mint condition with the raised gold markers spelling out 1/4 CENTURY CLUB. Overall this watch is in outstanding condition and appears to have been worn very lightly. The case measures 34 mm wide. The watch will be sold on a black or brown leather strap.
