Vintage Breitling Bullshead Chronograph
Rare Breitling Vintage Bullshead automatic chronograph.
A few Breitling Collectors will recognize this Bulls-head model as a particularly rare model, but many watch collectors with admire the unusual style and visual appeal of this physically dominating timepiece.
The watch is like new old stock and even has the original caseback sticker still affixed to it. I doubt these models were strong sellers when new in the 1970’s and as such many are still found in pristine condition. Note the original case finish still presented on the visible surfaces of the watch, as well as the original Brietling signed crown.
The multi color brown with red accents combination is the most attractive combination of this particular model. The watch is fitted with the Breitling automatic micro rotor chronograph movement shared with Heuer, Bulova and Hamilton during this period. Given the unconventional layout of the Heuer Calibre 12, you will note that the date window presents the date in a sideways fashion as it is usually found at the 6 o’clock position on most other watches.
The watch measures 44 mm wide by 50 mm long and is supplied on a 2 piece belting leather Bund type strap with cradles the watch head on a leather pad to keep the case back raised up off your wrist.
