Aero Watch Company Chronograph
Stylish Chronograph from an established watch house in Neuchatel, Switzerland. A bargain for watches in this condition.
The Aero Watch Company is perhaps better known nowadays for the line of modern mechanical pocket watches that they make in the Neuchatel region of Switzerland. This area is perhaps the heart of the watchmaking industry as it contains perhaps the most famous watchmaking school in the world. Its students are sought after by all of the major watch houses in Switzerland.
This watch appears to date to the 1950's when Aero Watch Company was making a line of mechanical chronographs. The case is gold filled with curved stepped lugs and flat pushers for the chronograph functions.
The original dial is a metalic copper color with gold foil markers and has only the slightest hint of antique patina to it.
The 17 jewel manual wind Landeron calibre 70 movement was recently serviced and is keeping excellent time. The watch measures 35mm wide by 42.5mm long and can be supplied on a black or brown calf strap.
