Vintage Rolex ladies Platinum and diamonds watch with box
Stunning ladies Rolex watch with platinum case set with diamonds. This is the only vintage Rolex I have had that was platinum and also set with diamonds. A true collectors item for any serious collector of vintage watches.
This vintage Rolex ladies cocktail watch is one of the only examples I have owned with a Platinum case. It is even set with 18 diamonds around the bezel of the case top.
The dial of this rare watch is also signed Rolex Tudor which was done for a very short period of time when Tudor was first experimented with and then mostly in Commonwealth countries. The watch is in its original box, signed Rolex and from a Rolex jeweller in New Zealand.
The watch appears to date to the 1920's or 30's and is likely one of the earliest watches I have seen marked Tudor. The dial has a light patina and is 100% original.
The Rolex 15 jewel movement is also signed both Rolex watch Co and Tudor, this is the first time I have seen this. The movement was just serviced and is keeping time running as it should.
As you would expect, the Rolex signed case is much heavier than a steel or gold model of this size, due to the density of Platinum. The watch is larger than most cocktail watches you are likely to find is has tremendous wrist presence when worn.
The case measures 29 mm long and 10 mm wide and is supplied on a black corded strap.
