Vintage Omega Century

Unusual Omega Century model in Stainless steel case

This is a sparkling example of an early 1960’s vintage Omega watch.
The Omega Century was a limited production during that period that was usually retailed in gold-filled cases; this model however was retailed in a solid stainless steel case. The watch has all the visual appeal of vintage watches from that period including the angular lance shaped hands and the now popular Explorer style Arabic numbers at the quadrants. The dial appears original and is signed Swiss Made under the crystal ring.
The watch is fitted with one of Omega’s famous variations of the 30mm movement, the caliber 285, these movements are well known for their durability and reliability even under wartime conditions. The case is fully signed with the Omega reference number 14711 and also note the Omega signed crown and the watch is supplied on a brown Italian leather strap with a stainless steel sign Omega Buckle.
The watch measures 33mm wide by 41mm long.
