This vintage Candino Chronograph provides great bang for the buck.
The all stainless steel case houses one of the most widely used manual-wind chronograph movements from the late 1960’s and 1970’s, the Valjoux 17 jewel caliber 7733 which is often found in Breitling watches of the period.
The watch features a colorful 30-minute register with a very distinctive yachting configuration with the vibrant red and blue sections.
The other register contains a running seconds window.
What is perhaps most unusual about the watch is the fact that it not only has the Yachting utility but contains an inner telemetric scale and an outer rotating bezel much like a divers watch. The skin diver motif on the case back is much the same as the other Candino dive watches I have had and the depth rating was originally listed as 200 metres.
The watch was just serviced and is functioning flawlessly.
The sturdy steel case measures 40 mm wide by 47 mm long and is supplied on a black leather strap.
