Hard to find over-sized manual wind Rolex watch reference 6424!
This is a larger than usual model form the 1950s and is roughly the same size as a modern Rolex Datejust. The watch is fitted with the now classic dauphine hands that characterized the watches of the 1950s and the near mint conditional original Rolex dial has unusually thin arrowhead shaped hour markers and the Rolex patent crown at the 12 oclock position. The watch is equipped with the Rolex manual wind caliber 1210, which is based on the Rolex 10 hunter movement that built the companies reputation during the Second World War. The case is in excellent condition other than a noticeable tool mark on the caseback where a previous watchmaker slipped opening the caseback, this however is not noticeable on the wrist and does not affect the wearability of the watch.
The watch is supplied on a 20mm wide black padded leather strap. This watch was recently serviced and keeps excellent time. The watch measures 36mm wide by 43mm long.
