I love these early Rolex watches. It wasn’t long before the production of this particular watch that Rolex watches were produced and originally signed Wilsdorf and Davis.
The square cushion shaped case on this watch is crafted in solid 9 karat gold. The snap back case is signed Gold medal and Worlds Records, precursor to the later models that spelled out how many actual records Rolex watches had been awarded.
The restored dial is marked Rolex with the period correct font and layout. The watch also features the correct and original cathedral shaped hands.
The 15 jewel Rolex signed manual wind movement was just serviced and is keeping time.
The stylish engraving on the back of the watch dates the watch to 1925. The case has some small marks but is in remarkable condition considering it is almost 90 years old!
The case with solid fixed gold lugs measures 30 mm wide by 33 mm long and is supplied on a black leather strap.
