This is one of the classic super dive watches from the mid-1970’s.
The large steel case is oval shaped with an orange acrylic insert in the steel bi-directional rotating and ratcheted bezel.
Obviously the highlight of the watch is the stunning orange dial and bezel combo. It is radiant and in excellent condition.
Powered by an A. Schild 1903 automatic movement which was just serviced and it running perfectly.
For a bit of history, Royce Watch Co. was originally registered to Sylvan Kocher and Cie SA who also owned Eska watches, based in Grenchen / Selzach, Switzerland.
The company dates back to 1922.
Today the Royce Watch Co. is owned by Tutima, the German watch manufacturer, most noted for its military watches over the years.
The mineral crystal to this watch is apparently over 3.5mm thick. The steel case measures 43 mm wide excluding the crown and 50 mm long. Yes its a monster!
