A classic boy-sized Oyster from the 1940s.
The dial is all original with the now classic Explorer style 3,6,9,12 pattern in pink gold markers contrasted against the aged white dial. Please note the minor radium burn from where the watch sat unused for many years. The watch is fitted with a freshly serviced Rolex 17 jewel caliber 700 movement, with superbalance, and it is keeping excellent time. The original Rolex Oyster crown screws down tightly. The fully signed Rolex case, with the reference number 4220, is one of the most well known reference numbers from the period.
The stainless steel case measures 30mm wide by 35mm long. The serial number on the case dates the watch to the 1940s.
